The standards of education offered at Elevate are very high indeed as we embed our value of achievement throughout the school; pupils regularly and consistently exceed our expectations across all subjects. Our close relationships help us to build pupils’ confidence as they face up to challenges in lessons, flexing their wings in a safe environment, which in turn builds their resilience and self-belief.
We are ambitious for all of our pupils and place great emphasis on encouraging pupils to think for themselves through problem solving and by exploring topics to gain greater understanding.
Topics are brought to life through inspirational teaching and extensive co-curricular programs. Whether it is a themed day, a visit or a workshop, physical experiences and immersive learning help to fire the imagination and add an extra dimension to classroom-based learning.
Our teachers are experts in their fields and use the best mix of traditional and innovative teaching methods, underpinning an approach which drives accelerated progress.
Staff are passionate about developing pupils’ academic progress alongside their wellbeing and are committed to carefully monitoring the pupils’ journey as they progress through the school.
We are ambitious about our pupils’ learning and achievement, and we give them the tools, support and encouragement to achieve the best possible outcomes.
We want them to think and learn independently, to be curious and go beyond the classroom learning.
It is recognized that homework is an important part of a pupil’s education and useful for consolidation and extension of work covered in class, as well as preparation for the next steps to be taken by the child. Homework strengthens the educational partnership between the teacher and the pupil and provides parents with an opportunity to share and support their child’s learning. It is also a means by which progress can be monitored. Homework promotes self-discipline and independent study.
From when children join us at the age of 2½, through to when they leave us at 16, we will support them through every stage of their education.
At Elevate, we put as much emphasis on the wellbeing of our pupils, as we do their academic achievement. We know children will not achieve their best academically unless they are happy; therefore we put significant effort into ensuring all our pupils are well cared for, emotionally, and academically. This emotional happiness will allow pupils to be positively engaged and focused in lessons, as well as create enthusiasm around the pursuit of other opportunities Elevate has to offer.
We feel our dedicated and caring approach towards our school community sets us apart; as our holistic ethos means our pupils not only achieve their absolute best in terms of results but that they are also leaving Elevate as well rounded, capable and compassionate individuals, ready to engage with the broader world at college and beyond positively.
